@ hj: Well, according to a nutrition book my roommate Janis lent me yesterday, North Dakota is the leading producer of flaxseed in the U.S. Guess I have that to look forward to!

an unreliably sporadic account of the search for my first job as a newspaper reporter. the shorter the lifespan of this blog, the easier. the longer, the more interesting.
